Later in the afternoon we will leave the old part and take a tour of the city and discover some of its parks, such as the Alameda, with excellent views of the west front of the Cathedral and the oak woods of San Lourenzo, located by the river Sarela and chaired by two stone crosses.
The extramural route of Santiago de Compostela will reveal some of the hidden jewels such as the Collegiata de Sar, the best preserved Romanesque church of the city. The temple is located within the district of Sar, named after the river crossing and was originally a medieval village that eventually annexed to the city.
Our tour will come to an end at Mount Pedroso, the natural viewpoint of the city, where we can enjoy the best panoramic views of Compostela.
